Alternate angled input jack installation

I don’t know how it’s described but many of us have seen it.  Take the ubiquitous Strat style angled input jack, flip it and mount it on the edge of the body near the rear strap button.  This angles the cord toward the strap button so one can run it through the strap like we’ve done for years.

So anyway, I don’t see this option in the body builder.  Will Warmoth do it and has anyone had it done?

Pros?

Cons?

It's been done, I've not heard of Warmoth doing it, but I imagine $45 would buy you almost anything someone can do in less than half an hour, so long as you aren't giving up the opportunity to make more than that in the same time.

This I think is what is on the Guthrie Govan Charvel or at least on one of the prototypes.

Also you find an angled input on an Ibanez Jem, and that works well which is probably where GG got the idea.

The con of the angled strat Jack mounting plate on the side is it isn't quite as elegant as the Ibanez solution and the pro would be that you can get a similar angle by drilling to the control cavity for the cabling, and then what should be a relatively simple rout if you have the tools to fit the Jack mounting plate.

Noted.  This is what I've used in the past.

It just seems like a lot of hassle to go through instead of going for a side jack and a right-angled cable.

Got this on a Hamer Californian:

I don't recall if you can get the deep panel jacks with 3 terminals, for either active pickups or for installing perhaps a Sustainiac.
