Alder Body + Mahogany neck

Has anyone used this combo before for a build?

I'm thinking of an alder strat, zebrawood top, mahogany neck & ebony fingerboard.

I've never seen an alder body / mahogany neck before & wondering if there is a reason for this? Bad combo? Too expensive etc?

My black & white strat is exactly that combo (minus the zebra top)
Alder + Mahogany/Ebony.  It's great for me.
