I will post pics in the Strat forum. Build went very well. Initial setup was a breeze. Only hangup was that the treble side trem stud started to come up out of the body, I will have to press it back in. Too lazy right now it'll have to do......

Body:
1 Piece Alder Tobacco Burst
Wilkinson Trem
Lace Alumitone Pickups

Neck:
Goncalo/Goncalo "Pro"
1-11/16 standard thin
SS6230 frets
Graphite nut
Schaller locking tuners

Sweet!  I have two Goncalo Alves necks (not Warmoth) and love them.  Well...  I love one of them for sure, the other has not been bolted on yet, it's body is still in the finishing process.

Really smooth feeling, really big sounding.

I considered buying a neck like that, went with canary-could have gone either way and been happy.

That's a sweet neck..

I wish I had stuck to my original Idea of a Goncalo neck for my build on order, that looks sweet!

I was originally planning white pearloid, but have been thinking black pearloid.... Any opinions?

Oh no...  You asked for opinions....

Neither white pearloid or black pearloid.  My opinion is that pearloid is ugly.  I don't like pearloid.  I do kinda like tortoise shell.  But these days I'm all about the wood.

I highly recomend Artisan Guitar Repair's wood pickguards.

I have one on my thinline, 12 years ago this guitar was a MIJ '69 Thinline RI with a pearloid pickguard.  As you can see, I've made some changes.  I just put that Pau Ferro pickguard on a few weeks ago.  Its pretty....  Makes it sound better, too.  It has a Goncalo Alves neck as well.

Wow, that thing looks fantastic. I just may have to parouse some of those pickguards.

and if you have'nt already snagged some pickups.  Check out Reed James Custom Pickups.  http://www.reedjamescustom.com  Like the ones on my thinline.  Hardwood, not laminate, instead of plastic.

Mine are on Pistacio wood.  The tone is totally nuts.  I have a double F hole thinline Warmoth body I'm finishing right now thats getting either Cocobolo covered P-90s or Indian Rosewood P-90s.  Havent decided yet.

I am an Alumitone guy these days.

I think pearloid still looks great on most strat bodies. That burst with a Black pearloid pg would be bitchen. :guitaristgif:

I have a Tobacco burst with wild maple top and I went with the white genuine Pearloid pickguard and have never regretted it. It goes very well with the Tobacco burst color. I envy the Goncalo neck though. Wish I would have gone with that option.
