it had gold hardware. It would not do.

Here are the before pics:

Thanks, I love the way it looks with the chrome, looking forward to swapping out the stock pups for SD Pearly Gates with the chrome covers.

Updown - it's a set neck.

Thanks! It's cause I can't afford a great guitar all at once. :)

And another reason I love Warmoth!

Also, this shouldn't be all the way in the OT board because I bought the TOM from W.

I'd have left the gold. Gold and red go together like peanut butter and chocolate. But, the chrome looks mighty fine, too. You certainly didn't hurt the thing. I wouldn't change it to gold if it was chrome to start with.

On the wine red one, I would have put a white nut on it to show the break from fret board to headstock, but otherwise it looks really good.  I am a fan of the earvana drop in nuts, the new ones without screws, but I like to play open chords and around those first four frets.  Nice guitar
Patrick

Thanks - the white nut is a great idea, when this guitar finally goes to my luthier for it's first real setup I will def. have him replace the stock nut with a bone like all my others except my warmoth (LSR roller nut on it). Waiting to buy new pickups though so he can do everything at once.

I also make "good guitars" great guitars instead of buying great guitars outright for a reason - if it ever gets snatched while I'm playing out or en route somewhere with the gear in the car, or scratched or broken, yeah, I'll be mad, but not even close to devastated. Even the warmoth - it's nice, but I really could order the same guitar tomorrow. An "irreplacable" guitar will not leave my home studio. :) I know too many sad stories.
