Advice on post-delivery customisations to neck-joint

I've never really thought about owning a 'normal' strat or tele until best mate (and drummer) bought himself one of the new USA tele deluxe's with the noiseless pu's and the (semi) rounded heels - bloody gorgeous!

I spend a lot of time at the top of the fretboard :) and I've got quite a few of the early 90's USA starfields which have a neck joint like this:

So I don't really fancy a square neck joint on a "custom" guitar.

Question 1: has anyone tried to alter the standard neck joint to make it a bit more rounded and willing to offer any guidance - what to specify from Warmoth and how best to do the job?

Question 2: Given that Tonar is based in the USA, I'm talking about a modified body and I have never held a spraygun in my life;  I'll probably need to find someone to finish the body in the UK (even better, Scotland). Any offers / recommendations?

The spraygun part is the easy part.  The wood prep is the hard part.  You gotta fill and fill and fill all the grain, and have the wood damn near glossy before you get a real good smooth finish.  Do not rely on the finish to "fill the grain".

You can do it with rattle cans, assuming you can get rattle can auto finishes in Scotland.  If those are available, use 'em!
