Adjusting neck (Jazz Bass)

Hello all!
I'm new here and new to the Warmoth custom instruments family!

Just received the parts for my new Jazz Bass. I assembled the whole thing.... the only parts for which I broke a sweat were the Tremolo's anchors and the tuner's ferrules.

Mostly easy lo assemble and pretty common sense. My bass is basically all Black Hardware, Black with matching headstock Jazz type bass. Walnut Body, Indian Rosewood fretboard with Birdseye Maple neck.

Now with the question, hopefully you all would be able to shed to light here.
I'm good at setting up anything in my basses but the neck... more because I don't quite understand all concepts behind it. But I want to understand how this works because it has happened in a previous bass I had.

I've been checking and the neck seems to be straight, the relief seems within the acceptable range. If I play I don't hear any ringing. Now, when I bend  strings D, G around frets 12 and above I reach a point on which the string mutes itself, so It seems there is something to be done either to the neck and /or bridge settings. In this case I have a HipShot Tremolo.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

REMEMBER: If You set the truss rod don't turn it more than 1/4 round per day!!!

that doesn't count for the side adjustment (on regular necks) right?  :sad1: :tard:

I suspect that the sensitivity of adjustments of the side adjuster is quite a bit more than the screw on the heel.  That is, 1/4 turn on the heel translates to maybe a full turn at the side adjuster.  That's just from my experience from my own neck - YMMV.

I'll PM TFS and ask him if he can find out for us for sure.

that would be nice..
I had to turn the side adjustment on my last (rosewood) neck about 8 full turns before I even slightly felt some resistance..
