Acoustic looking Strat bridge...AKA "Scartozi Bridge"

Hey it looks better than Cagey's Gold one  :laughing7:

That's OBVIOUSLY not Cagey's .... it's got six vintage holes in it  :toothy12:

You guys are so mean to me. I've got this Tele sitting here just rotting...

I solemnly swear that if it ain't a Scartozi bridge, it's CRAP!

I've got these beautiful aluminum potential/future Miss Bridge-Block Queens 2012 sitting here rotting, and scartozi won' send me an e-mail.... :sad1: did I hurt you, scarry? was it the glass splinters in the cornflakes or the PCP in the Visine?*

I'm so sow-wy....  :sad1:

I just wanna give somebody money to drill holes in the shit, forgive me for being so importune....

Anybody? I want three back, and send one to Cagey i(f he builds that Strattything instead of pissing around buying 18 more necks fust)

*(might wanna let that wear off fo you plug in those big fingereatery machines again....)
forchnutly 'lumnim rot slow

I suspect what we're seeing is Mr. R6 is finding out that being a captive machinist is more than a full-time job. Plus, gun-drilling has got to be boring and messy as hell. It takes a long time and you have to deal with a lotta cutting lube/coolant. Forces the price to be outside what's practical for one-offs. Plus, he only works during Santa Clause hours, and there aren't many of those. Us kids are always chomping at the bit, so it's tough to sneak anything in. Finally, if anything gets in the way of production of my brass Scartozi bridge, I'd have to send Guido to lean on you...

I'll start off by apologizing to both of you. BUT...I have been absolutely swamped at work and my "before the baby comes" honey-do-list is getting smaller but far from completed. You don't mess with a woman who is almost 8 months pregnant....she will EAT YOUR FACE OFF! :icon_biggrin:

Stubby: I sent you an email about 2 weeks ago with my address. If you don't have it let me know and I'll resend it. I'll do the best I can to get them done...a couple late nights shouldn't hurt.

Cagey: I'll send you an email today and we'll get the ball rollin on your brass bridge

There is light at the end of the tunnel. My boss (wife) told me as soon as my "list" is done and the baby comes I can do whatever I want with my guitar projects, so I've been working like a dog to get stuff done. If you guys want to come help me knock this list out feel free :laughing7: as long as you are good at trim work, routing doors, painting, landscaping....etc.

Normally, I'd agree with you on that, but with the help of Warmoth and others it is possible to put together a fine instrument loosely based on that design. You don't have to take what Leo came up with 100 years ago, which is admittedly pitiful. I mean, I'd rather have anesthesia-free dentistry than deal with an old-school Tele, but there's no reason you should have to in this century. So, don't knock it until you've tried it.

Doesn't look like what I'd expect a tool path to look like. In fact, knowing that part, it doesn't even look right for a 3D rendering. But, what do I know?

This is actually the solid model rendering..

It wasn't the lack of solidity that bothered me, it's the unusual proportions. From the point of view it's rendered from, the far side shouldn't be larger/longer than the near side, considering both sides are mirrored. Things should be smaller/shorter the farther away they get. The perspective dimensioning is off, kinda like a Picasso drawing or something.

It's called a vanishing point... But I guess in the tool path realm it doesn't apply... :icon_biggrin:
