A thicker C-shaped neck profile, like a 1961-1965 Fender?

This seems to be the biggest gap in Warmoth’s offerings imo. Like a C-Shaped neck that exists between the Standard Thin and the Fatback. The SRV is kind of close but has the asymmetrical shape. The 59 Roundback is kind of there but just a hair too thick.

I’d assume that anyone building their own Strat, due to their dissatisfaction with everything Fender currently offers, would have that sort of profile as their top choice. I consider that profile the "gold standard" of Strat necks. Given the amount of people who just say something like "I want pre-CBS Strat like what Jimi/Gilmour/The Froosh/etc had" I think it would sell itself.

Has anything like this ever been offered in the past but discontinued? Can it be done off-menu? Am I forced to go with that other company in New Jersey that makes licensed Fender replacement necks whose name rhymes with Shmoosicshraft?

I don't…

Not to my knowledge

Not to my knowledge as the profiles Warmoth offer like nut widths are what they offer. No one is going to force you to do anything. Musikraft are not Lord Voldemort, the name can be said.

Have you tried going with a small 41mm nut width along with a thicker Boatneck? That is what I ordered. It was too thick in the back so I just sanded it down a little bit to make it feel slimmer. Now it is a perfect thickness. The D shape offered by Warmoth appears to be a slightly flattened out Boatneck from what I can tell from their neck profiles page.

I agree with you. 100% Warmoth should offer a neck profile called “60s oval” and they would sell a ton.

Possibly should also offer “wide spaced 60s 12th fret markers” as an option IMO. No reason to call Musikraft anymore.

However I don’t think there is much difference between a 60s oval and standard thin profile. The “60s oval” would be 0.88~0.90” at the 12th fret and that is the only significant difference IMO. I think the importance is partly in the naming and marketing aspect.
