I posted this here because every partscaster is a continual Work in Progress. I started to feel that the Tortoise pickguard on my Bluescaster build was just a little too dark against the B-R-Y burst. I wanted to add some contrast, maybe something white, but not plain White or Parchment. I like Pearl, but decided against the multi ply Pearl, because it tends to be kinda bright with the white under layer.

Finally landed on Solid Pearl. Amazing how much time goes into something as simple as choosing a pickguard!

Looks good! The time spent sure shows.

No kidding. Oddly enough, it's the stuff you don't spend time on that gets attention because it's often wrong so it stands out. It's like the old saying goes - doing a good job is like peeing your pants in a dark suit. You get a warm feeling from it, but nobody notices  :laughing7:

Thanks for the comments guys, the color came off a little brighter in the picture than it really is. I'll have to play with that in Photoshop when I have time.

One of my favorite quotes. Use it at work, a lot! Goes hand-in-hand with: "No good deed goes unpunished".  :toothy12:
