in the mail a few days ago. I am already using several different models on my guitars, but Vinni Smith (owner of the company) makes over a hundred styles, and I'd only played a few of them. Curiosity got me, and so I got a bunch more of them. I've been playing them the last few days, and have found a few new favorites. Here they are, with brief impressions of each:
The Snake: Very similar to the thinner Screamer, which I am using with a couple of my guitars. This one is a full 4mm thick, and I'm quite surprised that I took to it like I did. The thickness allows me to play with a lighter touch, and it imparts a certain power and sound to the guitar. Very nice.
This is very much like the Pickboy Pos-A-Grip, which I used to play, except it makes the Pos-A-Grip sound dull.
The Jalapeno: this one is the perfect size and shape for me. The holes help the grip, they are very secure feeling, and along with the natural tackiness of the material as it warms up in your hand, will not slip and you won't drop it. A great all around pick. Also very quiet for a V-Pick - without as much of the click that is present in some of the other V-Picks.
I received a bunch of others, but these three are the ones I liked most, and could see playing. But for now I'll continue using these for now. On my electric guitars:
And on my acoustic I use this:
