A Flame Tele for rapfohl09

I just received this nice flame top/mahogany back Tele to do for rapfohl09.  This is it with some thinner on the wood to make the flame pop. Stay tuned for work-in-progress pictures.

The neck is under wraps for now, and will be this years anniversary gift. For pickups, I'm thinking probally some of TroubledTreble's Roadhouse pickups. That or the Stewmac Golden Age pickups. My original plan was chrome gotoh style bridge, but I'm getting more and more interested in the Rutter's hardware, so we shall see.

This is what I gave Tonar for a color sample. It's his On Fire Thinline before the red was added.

I also sent him this guy as well, from Warmoth's gallery.

The back will be left natural, with a clean line.

So basically a Black-Yellow burst with some beautiful flame popping like crazy.

Dye and one wash coat of lacquer.

Back with just a wash coat of lacquer.
