A few metal riffs to warm up before work....

I had a few minutes to kill before rolling out the door to the jewelry store.  Feeling dapper and well dressed for my meetings, one with the bank and one with a diamond supplier, I felt it necessary to summon the dark lord with my newly aquired off-brand Warlock and Black Metal Pedal....  I'm so totally in over my head, I need all the help I can get!

:laughing7: You're a funny one.

I'd be scared buying an off-brand warlock, the real ones don't play very good at the best of times.

hahahaha.  Just the thing to set you up for a day in the office. A nice bit of black metal.

Good first effort, but you need to wax pot the pickups.  They are very squealy, and not squealy in a good way  :icon_tongue:

Yeah, there's a about 3 frets worth of space near the 12th, on 4 strings, where it totally frets out.    I don't know if anyone else notices, but I can see my hands totally play around the spot.  I've got this guitar mostly worked into shape.  With enough effort, and tools, and time...  I'll have it ready for the Halloween gig I bought it for.  Mind you, I also bought it for my "inner 19 year old" who can't stop listening to Slaughter Lord or Celtic Frost, but he doesn't need all the frets like my "outer 39 year old" does.

That's the Black Metal Pedal dialed in really really hot.  Its supposed to sound like that.  Its extra Satanic that way.  That pedal is just... really hard to explain how over-the-top it is...  the text on the website isn't screwing around.  It really is completely insane.

And besides, the best black metal is done on sub-standard gear.  My friend, Chuck Keller of Ares Kingdom (formerly of the legendary Order from Chaos) still pines for his Washburn M20 Instigator that was cheap shredded beast when he got it in 1987.

If I didn't know that there are people like you in hiding all over the world, I'd say that was wildly inappropriate. Can you imagine what the nursing homes are gonna be like in 30 years?  :party07:

You know, you may not even need the warlock/gargoyle (whatever it was) costume.  The jeweler outfit, combined with the warlock and hair tied back actually give you an undertaker sort of look. Scares the crap outta me. :)

Actually sounds really good btw. :)

I'm thinking some killer nursing home bands.....with short sets....and the final encore ending a little after noon.

Are you suggesting that I'm old?  In 30 years I'll only be 70!  Thats way too young for a nursing home!

Now that you're warmed up, can you play it a little faster?   :icon_jokercolor:

Maybe a little, but I could definitely make fewer mistakes after warming up.  I missed the change several times and had to weedly my way back into position.
