Hey guys,  :headbang1:

haven't been on warmoth for a while so I thought I'd check and see if anything is new...

Well I don't usually look in the showcase because they don't usually have too many lefties but.....

ps3601A.jpg

OH MY GOD YES  :icon_biggrin:

And to add to the beauty.....

I don't care how much they both cost coz I'm gonna buy them!  :toothy10:

The only thing I'm wondering about is what pups  :sad1:
It'll be used in the band for mainly blues and some classic rock. I've always gone with Seymour Duncan in the past but wondered if anyone could give me some ideas?  :dontknow:

Love to hear some ideas from you guys (names for her as well!  :laughing7:)

It's great to be back  :headbang:

Adios for now!

DO IT! that's a great body!
:headbang1: right back at ya!
As far as pups, I'm Duncan/Lawrence/EMG, so I don't really get into too many small makers. I recenlty ordered a Roadhouse brand pickup, that a board member makes, and am awaiting it's delivery. Reviews to come!

...and of course Rio Grandes and Fralins which I believe are available on the Warmoth site.

What type of sound are you going for?

I'm looking for a SRV type sound considering that's what we do mostly in the band!

But for the neck a really nice fat, warm tone and the bridge....undecided  :sad1:

That's a great piece! I'm a lefty as well and that one caught my eye every time I looked in the showcase.

I have to admit that DiMarzio is rather tempting! I'm just waiting for the old man to come back from work to make sure I can definately get the body AND the neck together. I'm off to band practice now so I'll check up later on  :icon_biggrin:

Later guys  :toothy10:

i think that body needs a nice exotic neck! the only lefty exotics in stock are Pau Ferro, but i think thats perfect! might be a little over your budget, but just throwing that out there. no matter what you put on that body it'll be amazing!  :icon_thumright:

Oh man, you aren't exaggerating. That thing's been in the showcase for just under a year.

I know  But I'm glad that I'm back  :icon_biggrin:

Funnily enough I was looking at the Pau Ferro and it's pretty darn nice now that I look at it again...Ahh why are there so many nice things to choose from?!  :help:

Bare Knuckle Pickups!

Congrats, both look amazing, but you should buy soon, that beauty shall not stay very long on Showcase

I hoped someone would say bare knuckle pickups!!  :occasion14:

And yes I'm sitting down with the old man and talking about it  :toothy12:

And I'm thinking of a possible custom neckplate from a certain Doug.....  :toothy11:

I'd call it      "Lefty Lucy"    or      Lefty loosey            or as the Indians say    Looksgoodinmirror

Ahh warmoth why do you mock me with your beautiful guitars?!

Now I don't know which one to choose....  :sad1:

You've got to admit, Warmoth really stepped up to the plate for the lefties.  This time last year there were....what....three lefties in the entire showcase?

Sweet start you've got there!  :icon_thumright:

I love the fact there's 3 pages of lefties but....Too many to choose from

I have to admit now I'm sort of really liking that blue strat....

I've found a gorgeous birdseye maple neck for that blue strat....Now what colour hardware would go with it?  :dontknow:

The blue one is pretty nice. Personally I kinda dig the silver strat and the birdseye tele.

I loved the tele but the only thing that put me off was the wilkinson tremelo  :sad1: not the sort of thing I'd have on a tele which sort of sucks  :tard:

Well, the blue one is really nice but I want you to consider a few things, this is going to be something that you'll, hopefully, be playing for years and years to come. That blue looks bad ass right now but it may not be so cool looking in another 5 to 10 years. Also, and this doesn't necessarily apply to everyone, some colors can get boring over time. That flashy blue may catch your eye now but you could get tired of it after looking at it day after day. Some colors, like honey burst, tobacco burst, cherry burst etc... are age old standards and never get old. I also think that a natural wood guitar wouldn't get old either. If it was me, I'd stick with the first one.

Pickups, man, you caught me on the right day for my opinion on this one. I'm currently in the market for pups for my next build and I'm looking for exactly the same thing you are, a good SRV type growl. I've been researching pickups for the past week and have come down to a few possibilities.

1. Lindy Fralin Blues Special
2. Van Zandt Blues Pickup

I have pretty much decided on the Van Zandt. Go to Youtube and search for the demos of any of the pups you are interested in and you should be able to come up with something.

I could have gone with DiMarzio or Duncan but I want this particular guitar to be a bit.......above that. I want the boutique pickups for the boutique guitar. hehe!!
MULLY
I think I decided on the Van Zandt because I found a set here in Japan that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg

I don't know why you haven't pulled the trigger on this body yet. Or why you're considering other ones.

I'd become left handed and take up guitar so I'd have an excuse to buy that body.
