You can do a 24.75 conversion neck for a Jazzcaster body & get a similar feel? Not 7/8 sizing, I know, but the neck scale/playability is there...
A 7/8 Mooncaster would look/sound different?
I did a Jazzmaster with a 24.75 scale neck - and it's great.
But I understand that a big appeal of the 7/8 body is the 24 fret neck, and how W optimizes accessabilty to those upper frets on their 7/8 bodies.

I have also done a 24.75" conversion Jazzmaster.... took years to get it right. It wasn't the scale that was the problem, but my initial wood selection made it very sterile. I eventually got the flexibility I wanted, met the Project goals that I started out with & it' s fairly utility type of guitar when working on sounds. I loaded it with Bill Lawrence L500s and an EMG active blend pot with active EQ pots (treble & bass controls). Works well.. :icon_thumright:
