7/8 scale body: 3 pots?

Hello to all! This is my first post on your amazingly helpful forum. I've spent the past three days sitting at my computer spilling over everything on this site, and I must say, you guys rock! :icon_thumright: ALMOST all my Warmoth questions were answered by just reading, but I have a couple still wanting answers, so here goes number one:

All of the Warmoth 7/8 scale Strat bodies that I have seen have only two pots. Is the 1/8 reduction in size really so drastic that three pots can't fit in the control cavity, or is a two pot configuration just simply more popular on a small body? (I'd  like to get one of these at some point, and I'd like to put Clapton electronics in it, but that setup obviously has three pots.)

And yes, I am a Hammond player, but I also play guitar. Guitars are more portable.

The control cavity is smaller so yes, we only drill for 2 pots on the pickguards and rear rout bodies because of the lack of room. You can use a concentric potentiometer to get 3 controls or simply have us leave the holes undrilled and you can place and drill them yourself and see if you can get 3 controls in there. Some styles of potentiometers are smaller in diameter too so that may be an idea to get them to fit. I bet you'll really like a 7/8 Strat. I have one and love it.

Thanks! Ya, I think it'd be a little tight, but it should all still fit. I thought about changing out the pots for smaller ones, but I know the Clapton has some special pots . . . TBX tone control in particular. I've seen your 7/8. It's a beautiful axe! You have the Clapton back contour on that, too, right? (picked one up in GC, and I was hooked  :cool01: ).
