You are right to say that.

Some further information to give the bigger picture on Warmoth Mustang/Jaguar and 7/8 necks have the same neck heel dimensions and screw hole positions for those wondering what will or will not intonate.

Warmoth Mustang/Jaguar necks do fit on a Warmoth 7/8 body and intonate without issue with a 24" scale. Furthermore, a Warmoth 7/8 neck will fit onto a Mustang body and will intonate with the resultant 24 3/4" scale. And the bridge is also in the correct place for both of these specific situations.

24 3/4" 22 fret conversion necks do not intonate on a Mustang or 7/8 body.

This is well documented in other forum threads.

I defer to your years of experience and knowledge. I am a bit of a noob at this, but I'm learning. I'll edit my post down to the fret spacing measurements lest it mislead those who read this later. Thank you for setting me straight.

It's really good to know that gibson conversion neck will ( Not work ) on a 7/8 tele, I don't have one of those. Edited

Didn't want to start a whole new thread but thought this was one had a similar conversation to ask this question.

I'm looking at getting a Warmoth 7/8 S style body. I tried out one of their modern style 25.5 scale necks a while back and it was much too heavy due to the double truss rod and so I'm not interested in getting their Warhead neck for their 7/8 body. I know that the 24" scale mustang / jaguar neck would work as well, but it also is only offered in the modern construction.

I'm thinking about getting a neck from another dealer, since they offer 'jaguar' style necks with vintage single truss rod construction which would be lighter weight. I contacted then and they indicated that it 'should' work as long as Warmoth's mustang/jaguar neck "matches up with standard Fender Jaguar layout and scale." While I think the answer is yes, I thought I'd post this here in case anyone knows a reason why this would not work. Don't want to make an expensive mistake.

Thanks!

It's a case of caveat emptor. It might work but no one can guarantee it as how can anyone know what that neck adheres to.

It is also better to open a new thread, usually.
