59 vs Wolfgang profile

I started on a 1 11/16 fatback. Talk about big! But oh so comfy! Love it

Then got a 1 11/16 59 next. More on this below.

My 3rd and latest got a 1.65 boatneck. Love this one too! More than the fatback. Compared to the 59?

The 59 is special. Its like a standard to judge all other necks for me. Its a perfect medium size for me.

i am curious about the d vs the 59.

Same, wide and thinner or thick and narrow but never thick and wide.
Uhhhh, what are we talking about here? Lol.

I must wholeheartedly agree.
I’ve been on the Wizard for 40-ish years, and as I recently turned 60, and am having to make adjustments to my specs to accommodate the changes in my playability, the first was changing picks. I had been using the small black Dunlop Jazz sized picks in 1.14mm thickness, and changed to Dunlop Flow Tortex in .88 mm. I then went from Ernie Ball regular slinkies at .010-.046 do the Hybrid Slinky at .009-046. Just a slight adjustment, but after 40-ish years, it is enough to aid the transition. Lastly, moving from the Wizard to the 59 is filling my hand ever so slightly more so I no longer feel as though I need to choke up on the neck. The Fatback is a full on ball end of a Louisville Slugger, to me, that’s for 6-8” tall 5 or 6 string bass players who occasionally play guitar.
