2x12 Stereo Cabinet DIY?

Hi all,

I just picked up a Fender Mustang V head to use for direct recording and also for live performance, but I don't need to drag out my heavy 4x12s for anything I'm doing these days. I'd like to build a stereo 2x12 cabinet for this 150W head and am looking for plans, advice, suggestions, etc. as I've not done this before. Light weight/transportability will be key as well as sounding good and getting good stereo separation. I think Gibson did a stereo cab shaped like a wedge at some point?

Thanks for any info.

Pine cabs are light but some speakers weight more than others. You can get any cab with two parallel inputs (many cabs have two inputs) and rewire it in stereo or with a switch to turn it from mono to stereo.

If you are going to clone a cab I suggest the THD 2x12. It's the perfect mix of an open and closed cab, light weight and with the top handle it can be easily lifted by one person.

*I have read a stereo 2x12 may not be a good idea because you may have phasing issues.
