2K is the Devil !!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion, I just looked that stuff up. Does sound promising, especially being water based. I may give it a try
And Welcome Aboard !

I sprayed 3 coats of sanding sealer over the dye, and lightly sanded before applying the 2K. Same process I used on my Purple Haze build which turned out great. I was being a little facetious with the Devil remark, I really think the conditions were just not good for spraying. Hard to get good weather in TX in the summer when it's 105 and humid, so I have to work on my patience. I did have a good experience with it this past weekend painting a e-bike for my grandson, but of course that was on metal over 2k color coat. The 70 degree day was perfect !

But I must say, the redo using Nitro really looks great.....

You bastard!

What happen to the devil??? How did you exorcise him? ... love that sparkly reflection at the bottom ... happy accident or planned? 70 degrees!

Thank you For the lovely welcome!

I figured you had used sealer. I just thought I would ask. You never know and being new here I wasn't familiar with your experience. At any rate, The job that you posted looks beautiful! Just keep doing whatever you are doing! LOL That quilt top came out great man.

He was finally vanquished after sanding all the way down to bare wood and completely starting over and using nitro clear.

The sunburst was actually on purpose when I saw the sun reflecting. I do that a lot in my landscape photography by using a very small aperature.
