Just FTR, D'Addario EJ18's, 14-59, tuned C# to D on a 28.0" scale length and I'm digging it. Nice balance between 1) my longer, skinny string at higher tension theory (it does make a difference, the 16's it came with lacked the sparkle acoustic guitars usually have because it's such a fat string) 2) not giving up too much of the range, 3) enough string to get the top moving, 4) keeping the body resonance happening in the right spot of the fingerboard.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, it's been a fussy day), my co-star is asleep in the next room, and I can't give it a proper thrashing with the quarter for a pick until tomorrow.
