24fret guitar

I really like the looks of a velocity, but didn't find pictures of a 24 fret version.

I was thinking of a jazzmaster as well, but i doubt that the upper frets will be accessible like they should.

Any pictures of 24 fret versions of these guitars???

There are no "24 fret" bodies. There is one version of each body, and you can attach a 21, 22, or 24 fret neck to any of them.

Just beware the neck pickup placement...

Yes, if you intend to attach a neck with a 24 fret extension, make sure you specify "24 fret preposition" for the neck pickup, when ordering the body.

I'm aware of that. I'm just asking these questions, because i want to make shure which bodyshapes are best suited for 24 frets.

I just want to build a non-soloist-like shred guitar, with some classic or different vibe to it!!!

I think the Velocity would make a great 24 fret guitar. They're relieved behind the lower cutaway, so there's room for your hand to get up there. Also, the absolute outline doesn't really start until 22nd fret anyway. Relative to something like a Les Paul where you run into that boulder of a neck joint starting around the 15th fret or so, Velocities give you some real freedom. You'd have to reach a little bit for 24 frets, but nothing like the fight you'd have with most guitars.

V-R body should be better  :glasses10:

Can one use the 7/8 necks on any guitar with a standard strat heel cutout, or is this neck specifficaly for the 7/8 guitars????

They're only for 7/8 bodies. Otherwise, they won't intonate. If you'd like the smaller 24" scale, there's also the Jaguar or Mustang choices. You don't have to use the hardware they were originally designed for - you can have the body routed/drilled for bridges/tailpieces/vibratos that work, mostly at no extra charge.

The Musiclander shape has good upper register access. Also is quite comfy and a bit unusual.
