Can/will W make a Flying V body that will accept one of the 24 3/4th scale necks with 24 frets?

Not sure if they offer the conversion neck with 24 frets. Those are usually pretty limited on options... :dontknow:

i believe they can move the bridge or neck pocket or whatever method they use on all there bodies but it becomes non refundable, still covered under warranty though. i am not sure however what headstocks are available on that neck or what the upcharge will be :dontknow:

I'm pretty sure all headstocks are available that aren't fender shaped if i remember correctly.

Are you talking about a conversion neck, or the "true" 24 3/4" scale body/neck (7/8 scale)? If the latter, all they offer at the moment is a Strat style neck and body, but will be offering other styles in a couple of months, per a W sales rep.

true there is only one 7/8th body, well two now with the telecaster. but last i asked full sized bodies could be routed to take that neck, i am fully aware of the difference between the 7/8 neck and the conversion necks, i know it may be easy to assume i am confused here.

the neck pocket fits all fender necks but the distance between the pocket and the bridge saddle is less for the 7/8th neck and the mustang neck. warmoth will do complete custom bodies (minus hollow options) if you give a detailed drawing.

the price may be higher, the wait period may be longer and you give up the posibility of a refund but they can do this.

they can not however route a showcase body as they will at minimum be drilled for a ground wire to the bridge. if all else fails a body can be ordered minus bridge pup, ground wire hole and bridge route and the buyer can DIY or bring it to a skilled professional to be completed.

if you DIY the neck may need to be ordered minus the mount holes as they may be different and the body holes are easier to use as a guide.

I didn't assume anything about your post, I was replying to the OP.  :occasion14:

:occasion14:

maybe i seemed a little accusing. all i meant is that with the different options someone might assume i thought he was talking about a conversion neck, just wanted to be clear.

what the OP was asking should be available but depending on how busy they are they might not take this kind of order at this time or might put a hefty price on it. last i asked the 7/8 stuff was more manual to build, not all done on CNC.

You got it right. I meant a full scale V, with a modified bridge position to accept the true 24 fret, 24 3/4" neck. Not a 7/8ths V.

Last I heard all flat top bodies could be altered to accept this neck, however I wasn't sure if the radical shapes were included. Thanks for the response.  :icon_thumright:

Yes, Warmoth can do it. I think it takes +$50 on the body, and just specify that you want a V neck as a 24 fret, 24 3/4 scale. Be sure to tell your Warmoth rep NOT a conversion neck and NOT a 24 fret extension type of fingerboard and that should cover any possible mis-communication issues. That'll be a cool build BTW.
