Ok I got it back today and we got it right this time
We floated the bridge and set it up like my other bridges with only 3 springs and adjusted it so that it bends up 1/2 step on the E, 1 hole on the B, and a minor third on the G. We also changed the block out to the DeTemple titanium from a vintage steel block and that totally turned it into a ringing monster so it sounds killer acoustically.
We cut out the tone pot connection to the bridge pickups and changed it to vintage wiring and that was a huge improvement. We changed the volume pot and cap just to be sure and now it sounds as good as it looks. I don’t think the pot and cap made a difference because they were the same manufacture as before I just did not want to leave anything to chance.
So now I can start using it but right know I'm so enamored with the new gold top Lester that I find it hard to put down.
