10-16 compound radius action

You shouldn't have any problem getting the action down to .0625", (4/64), at the 12th fret. My Strat neck is right around that figure, and I did the neck/fret work on that myself.

My JM neck was worked by Cagey, and was at about .040".....

I've since brought it up to about .050" because I decided to try using a pick again after 20+ years of not using one, and I have been hitting the strings a little harder.

Now that sounds great. That's all on a 10-16 right?

I[ always found that the trick to using a pick with a very low action was to use a very heavy pick for some reason. Seems easier to pick lightly and glide over the strings.

Yes indeed. That's a 10-16 compound radius Warmoth neck. Mind you, that's AFTER Kevin's professional fret work, and when using a VERY light touch on the strings. But then again, I'm using ghs .085 strings to lower the tension on the 25.5" scale, I could probably bring it back down a might with 9's or 10's.

I came up using Fender Heavy's and switched to Medium gauge delrin's later on. My main problem now, aside from getting used to using a pick again, is I keep dropping the damned thing! I finally stuck a piece of cork drawer liner to a Dunlop medium, and that seem to be working. I'll try the same thing with a heavy pick. Thanks!
