You guessed it  ….. ME again  :icon_biggrin:

Here is my latest build and 1st Tele to build or even own.  :toothy10:

Both where Showcase Items.

Body...
Chambered Mahogany on Mahogany
Top Rout
Double Cream Binding
Tobacco Burst Top & Rear
Tele Bridge
Weighing at 4lbs & 4oz

Neck…
White Korina Neck wood
Indian Rosewood fretboard
1 11/16'' Nut width
Standard Thin
10'' - 16'' Radius
SS Frets 6150
MOP inlays
Graph Tech White Nut
Transparent Brown finish
Will have Sperzel Lok Tuners on it.

Will have a Vintage Pearl pickguard for it on monday when my other Tele arrives (just got the tracking # for that one)
Was going to put 2 x SD P-Rails (Hot / Bridge) Cream Pickups in it. As I already had them.
Have the option to go the normal Tele Pups as such, as the next Tele is 2 x Hum.
But still undecided as to what to do as yet.
Other bits & pieces need to be ordered as well. So this won't be done for a while.
Might wrap it up & put it under the Xmas tree.

:icon_scratch: Not sure to use Black Hardware or go Chrome, I'm thinking chrome as I know the next 2 will be Black.

Next pic's will be in 'A work In Progress' as I might have other Q's or queries.

Here's some pic's
The indoor pic's of Body & Neck together DON'T show how well they both blend together (wait for some outdoor shots)
….. It's a great match.

Camera ….. Action …..  :icon_biggrin:

seriously, that body is absolutely stunning.
LOVE the binding...and ... the other binding! WOW! :kewlpics:

Beautiful! I really like the tone of my chambered swamp ash Tele, I'll bet that chambered mahogany really sings!

Bindings are so much win!

Nice to see there is plenty of room to some big-ass single coils in that telecaster  :icon_biggrin: :icon_jokercolor:

Almost as good as a mary kay white tele with a padouk neck...

Just kidding!

This is beautiful. Really classy.

Neat choice on the trans brown for the neck. Wouldn't have thought of that.

I love p-rails, so I think that's a good idea. Chrome is also a good idea - I think it will give that guitar a real classy look - it has that vintage / classy thing going on, and I find that black hardware gives guitars a really modern feel.

That double binding is really hurting my GAS.

Thanks all for your comments  :icon_biggrin:

The Neck was already finished from the showcase, found the Body 1st then spotted the Neck.
Downloaded the pic's & matched them up & thought ...... that will do.  :icon_thumright:

I forgot to say in my 1st post ……. WOW  :blob7: the binding is just beautiful, great job again Warmoth

OK I'm new to Teles ...  :sad1:

This new Tele was going to have 2 x P-Rails in it. (have a Strat with GK-3 with those same pickups already)
The 2 Cream pickups do look good with the cream binding etc. Plus I know their great pickups !!
Also then have an option of Pickguard or just the mount ring.

Wasn't really looking for the true over-all Tele sound.  :toothy11:

But … had a thought late last night of using just one P-Rails (Hot in Bridge) & then use some type of Tele Pickup in the Neck.

That would give me a hole lot of different mix / sounds.

I don't know much about Tele Pickups (shall start researching)

So dose anybody know ....
Is there any special type of Tele pickup for the Neck position that would go well with one (Bridge) P-Rails ?
(Don't forget it's a HOT P-Rails in the bridge)
Would that mean I need a Hot for the Neck too ?

Gee I'm even thinking of Gold hardware now

Any advice or direction gratefully appreciated …. Thanks  :icon_biggrin:

edit ... Think I found one .... SD Quarter Pounder, Tapped (neck)  :dontknow:

very nice stuff!  looks costly.
what about swapping those necks?  like the grainy one on to the dark grain body? smooth brown on white.  might be something?

No it wasn't as costly as it looks  :icon_biggrin: - the % sale.

Ummmmm ... can't change those two necks you are talking about, because one is a Tele neck the other is Strat neck.
The one on the Deluxe Tele is the Wenge Strat one.
But could change that one with that 'Stunning Showcase Neck' that I have here which was for my #3 Custom Build
Yet to come.
Oh the choices  :toothy10:

My pickguard was cut for Humbucker Tele Bridge DOESN'T fit the Gotoh Humbucker Tele Bridge I have.
Pickguard measures (at the very edge) 85.5 mm
Where as the Gotoh Tele bridge Hum mount measures 89 mm

Yes it was ordered as Hum Bridge cut.
Heres the spec's ..
Mounting Holes: 8 Hole
Neck Pickup: Humbucker
Middle Pickup: None
Bridge Cut: Humbucker Tele Bridge

Is this normal ?  :dontknow:  or  :icon_scratch: did the lunch bell ring half way though doing mine.

Looks like it's time for the Dremel to come out  :sad1: …. But I shouldn't have to do that

Bummer …..

I was going to say 3.5mm isn't that much of a difference, but that's like 1/8", which is quite a bit. I guess I'd wonder what happened, too.

Really nice build & chambered too. NOT enough bound Teles around.Go chrome with the binding & burst. Hot P/rail & duncan quarter pounder neck sound a good match not a lot of places to put switches. Twin P/rails sound good too it will be versitile as well as a looker.
Nice.

Well ....
Just an update, on the incorrectly cut done on the my pickguard for this.
Sent some pic's to Rob & he said it's a mistake !!

Another will be arriving sometime soon for me :icon_biggrin:

Thanks Rob  :icon_thumright:

:icon_scratch: Ummmmm  I haven't had much luck with this one from the start.
But all is OK now.

Problem #1 Pickguard cut wrong (thats worked out now) as you see from above post.

Problem #2 … This was a showcase body routed as TXT , But I had it done as HXH.
Just so I could have options or could change it around later if wanted.

Have a look in the 1st pic & will see where the hole is for the neck pickup cable, it's where the legs go for a Humbucker.
That original hole must have been for the Tele pup rout.
But when routed to a Humbucker it actually becomes in the way.

Problem solved very easily with one chainsaw  .... I mean, a beer & one drill  :icon_biggrin:
As you will see in pic 2.

Oh ... I also have the back ferrels in & ready. Easy as pie !!

Thats it for now.
Just thought I'd share an easy fix, for anyone else that wouldn't know how to get around this.

Very subtle combination - looks hot. Double bound teles rule all.

Note to self - next Warmoth must be double bound tele.  :party07:

I keep changing my mind, just like a woman does

Going with a Hot P-Rails in the bridge (still) & may-be a SD Quarter Pound Rhythm in the neck.
This one ... http://www.warmoth.com/Quarter-Pound-Rhythm-for-Tele-Chrome-Cover-P1130C789.aspx

Now ... having a mixed set of pickups, I don't now which size pots to use  :icon_scratch:
On my strat 'Flame' when using  1 x Hum & 2 x single hum's, I used 500k pots on both Vol & Tone
Which seems all OK.

Just having 1 Vol & 1 Tone on this Tele ....
So will I be best using 250k or 500k pots on this ?

Not sure if the P-Rails will be ok with a 250k pot  :dontknow:
Thanks again for your help.  :icon_thumright:

Edit ... found my own answer   500k pots is the best with both those pup's.
