    Red dye finish

    How does Warmoth do this finish?  I've attempted it on some scrap pieces of flame maple by applying the black dye, sanding back then going over with the red... but it leaves the black just a darker red. Sanding back the red leaves bare (undyed) spots...

    I was given an MIM strat with a warped neck... I started searching eBay for a replacement and found several from Warmoth... after checking out the site I bought the neck from them.  I no longer have the MIM but have an almost complete padauk strat and a just started LPS...    :toothy10:

    Cases of allergic reactions to unfinished necks

    The ipe now offered for finger boards is the same, toxic and irritating dust/allergic reactions.  I've built several decks from ipe, it can be very irritating... but if you're not exposed to the dust I don't see building up a sensitivity to it...
