Second 'build'. - Graffiti Yellow HSS Stratalike

In the guitar industry vibratos are often called tremolo and vice versa, because of Leo Fender. That doesn't make it right. 😅 Unlike the guitar industry, the automotive industry doesn't use a lot of transparent colours as opposed to solid colours, which could be a possible explanation for the...

Second 'build'. - Graffiti Yellow HSS Stratalike

There's a tele body in Graffiti Yellow in the showcase right now: Also, didn't you check the guitar finishes page before ordering?

What fret size does this look like to you?

I kinda agree with stratamania here: If you and several other forum members can't even tell from those pictures which frets are on that guitar, does it even matter that much? 🧐 To me, in two of the pictures it looks like 6150s, and like 6100s in the other two. Also, between two of the pictures...

New video: Versatility shootout Seymour Duncan 78 vs JB

Well, I'm not Aaron, but I enjoy the '78 very much! The '78 has it's own sparkle going on (sound-wise), so I think it will fit absolutely perfect in a purple flake guitar! 💜

New video: Ten Things Leo Got Wrong

To be fair, though, I don't think Leo could have foreseen the need to easily remove a Stratocasters pickguard in 1954. 😅

    Ultra-bright guitar

Have you thought about a magnet-swap? Right after I build my 7/8 S-Style, which also has a basswood body, I found the Duncan '78 model I installed just a little... too soft! So, I swapped it's AL2 magnet for a ceramic, as that appeared like a relatively easy and inexpensive way to get a little...

New video: Ten Things Leo Got Wrong

You gotta admit though, it kinda looks like the sharp edges of the telly ripped Jeffs shirt apart!!!

New video: Ten Things Leo Got Wrong

Just one tiny little thing I disagreed with: On Vintage Tele Bodys and as long as the fretboard doesn't overhang the pickguard, wood-mounting the neck pickup solves Nr. 2! Because then you can simply take off the pickguard to adjust the trussrod. I agree with everything else, though. :)

Can I see some of your pocket and/or tactical knives?

I see what you mean! I'm sorry @aarontunes , I didn't think that through! Thank you for solving this!

Can I see some of your pocket and/or tactical knives?

I used to carry on of these everyday, mainly for scissors or the bottle openers, or some other tools, I rarely use the knives at all. I even made purpleheart scales for this one: And I used this at work: [MOD EDIT]

Can I see some of your pocket and/or tactical knives?

Thumb-studs are sometimes detachable. [MOD EDIT]

    Mustang, baby!

I have no real-world experience with the others, but the Mustang is thinner, yes. It's the only Warmoth body that is 1½" AFAIK. I'm pretty sure it would've been my lightest guitar, if I had chosen the Toronado Hardtail instead of the trem, btw.

    Mustang, baby!

I was actually thinking back and forth between the Mustang and the Jaguar. I chose the Mustang, because; though I like the vintage look and layout of the Jaguar with all that chrome, I didn't really wanted to build a vintage guitar, but one with a humbucker, like I did with the Mustang. And for...

Esoterics of building quality musical instruments

The main advantage that roasted maple has over "regular" maple is that it doesn't need a finish. You can put a finish on roasted maple, if that is what you want, but then you pay a $55 upcharge purely for a (rather small) aesthetic difference. Just saying... But I gotta say, I tend to get very...
