I wasn't always such a guitar/gear snob about American-made stuff.  Unfortunately, every foreign-made piece of gear I've had (save for my Boss pedals...) have had problems of one type or another.  Most of the foreign-made guitars I've owned have had electronics which have failed within sooner...

I'm a bit of a snob.  I refuse to buy any guitar not made in America anymore, other than an Ibanez or ESP, but they'd both have to be made in Japan.

How much thicker is the neck on a 7, I feel like I can barely get around a 6-stringer with my short fingers.  What about playing faster stuff like solos, or sweeps?  Would it be more difficult? A 7-stringer Tele would be cool.

Maybe it'll be beneficial to go with a 7-stringer.  If I don't like it, I'll just ignore the top string.

What about the difference between a baritone and a 7-stringer?  Would the longer scale "make up" for the additional string?  I find it to be quite a challenge to play a 6-stringer as it is, so I'm a bit apprehensive to so step up to a 7-stringer. I'd like to widen a range and do something...

I have a 414ce and it's a fantastic instrument.  Very happy with the purchase and it's just a fantastic instrument.  I like it far more than some far more expensive guitars I've sat down with...not that the $1,600 I paid for it was pocket-change...
