I wouldn’t worry about it being to bright. A simple cap change can handle that.Hell different strings can do it as well.
I say yes on your neck selection, and put your fave pups it it.
I’m no finishing pro, but I’d use Naptha to clean, then shellac it. Basically anything sticks to shellac. And shellac has no issue with naptha as a cleaner.
I had you like that. Fully loose and strung to pitch resulted in a flat neck. Is my Canary neck. Cagey fixed it years ago for me. He stuck in a jig he had and put it in his oven.
A true Sonic Blue will not have a green tint. It’s a hard color to photo. (As is Surf green).
If you’ve seen Surf green in person, picture that shade as blue and lighter.
Well it passes the sniff test. Gave it a bit of a run this AM. So far it is a keeper. Playability is good, but learning where to set the intensity knob for your particular desired effect at that time is a learning curve that I should be able to tackle in a couple hours. Still need to bond more...
Okay briefly gave it a run through this AM. Sustainer system works great. A bit of a learning curve I think to know where you want to set the intensity control for your desired effect.
Supposedly not. Granted it might not be the best sounding neck pup though as I understand. When the unit is off, it functions as a passive single coil. I am needing to do chords at times, which the ebow doesn't handle well. Also tired of accidently kicking the ebow out of reach while on stage.
