    Help with 3-way switch problem?

Thanks everyone. I like it better already, just knowing it wasn't something I screwed up! I'm going to let it be until I get a set of Triple Shots, then probably use the Stewmac mod when I put those in. For anybody that has done 2 volumes that way, do you prefer it?  Any drawbacks? Thanks again.

    Help with 3-way switch problem?

Well hmm... do 3-way selector/2 volume guitars usually work this way (that is, either volume controls both pick-ups)? I found the Stew Mac info Jim mentioned, and they say this: Alternate volume control wiring You can wire both of the volume controls of a Les Paul (or any other dual volume...

    Help with 3-way switch problem?

OK, I'm hoping this will be something obvious to those who have a true understanding of wiring (as opposed to the likes of me, who thought he could follow a diagram ). 2 humbuckers, 2 volumes, 1 tone, Les Paul style 3-way switch.  Issue is that when pickup selector switch is in the middle...

Pau Ferro/Korina Strat - Pics up, question on controls

NT -- I feel that angst a continent away!     But really, it is only 2 mini-toggles more than a strat.  And, the jack is moved off to the side. I think the cardboard cut-outs make it look more severe than what rosewood knobs and black min-toggles really will do. Thanks man! ...

Pau Ferro/Korina Strat - Pics up, question on controls

Oh, one more thing:  Assuming there's no drastic change in the control layout, one thing I will do is move the toggles slightly so that the angles from the tones to the toggles matches the line of the selector switch. Just had to mention that little detail!

Pau Ferro/Korina Strat - Pics up, question on controls

Last, about that "indecision" (which has been a problem since I started this project!  :-\ )... Initially I envisioned gold hardware.  Now thinking I don't like it.  Takes the eye too much to the hardware, and not to the wood.  But as of now I do have a gold bridge (Gotoh Wilk), which I got...

Pau Ferro/Korina Strat - Pics up, question on controls

Here's the neck. Earlier on I said I wasn't sure about keeping this koa neck, but it really is gorgeous and I think does work with the body,

Pau Ferro/Korina Strat - Pics up, question on controls

OK, some pics! Too much work, sick kids, blahblah, plus some indecision has left me with no significant progress, but getting ready to dig in. I could use some feedback on control placement.  As you can see, I made cut-outs in the footprints of the pots and switches, and have stuck them on...

    This is cool.

I think it looks like its about to eat its own neck. (Its is better than GoldBottom though!)

    Humbuckers without rings

Hey, take nothing for granted!  Danger, thanks for the advice.  I am seriously wondering if this is worth it, or should I just get some damn rings.

Best Album Runs of All TIme?

How about, "Born Under a Bad Sign" plus whatever came before it and whatever came after it.  :laughing7: OK, OK... just trying to reach for something that ain't been hit yet. BTW, one reason that all Beatles before Sgt Pepper was pop is that, all everything before Sgt Pepper was pop. ...

David Gilmour Live In Gdansk: Comfortably Numb

ROFL! Well, OK, I didn't roll on the floor, but I did spit coffee on my monitor! And glad everyone still ended up getting along. Now, that stubhead post... that one's a joke?

    Extra pickup switch on Strat

This is an interesting puzzle! Here's one solution I came up with. I think would do your job nicely, although it is sorta backwards from how you were thinking about it, and is quite a departure from normal strat switching. AND THE TRICK IS...  your extra switch doesn't control the neck...
