Dave Murray and Adrian Smith are using 1 5/8" necks? Their signature guitars from Fender and Jackson show R3 Nut. I know their actual guitars might not match exactly to signature guitars available for us to buy.

WIth a floyd rose bridge? or similar string spacing to the floyd? Im glad to hear it works out for people. Just a little apprehensive but also excited to order a new neck! Also, Should i avoid heavy roll on the fretboard edges or is that also no issue?

Yea, I was worried that the Floyd Rose bridge spacing would be too wide for my 1 5/8 neck. Was mostly worried about string slipping in the higher register and not so much closer to the nut.

I know that R3 size floyd nuts is the normal for strat necks with a width of 1.68. If i have a neck with a 1.65 width, should i stik with a r3? is the size different so small it wouldnt make a difference? or should i go with an r2 nut with i believe is ideal for a nut widght of 1 5/8. any...
