It's done... just needs paste wax after it cures for a month.  Here's the specs: - Mahogany body and neck ('59 profile and 1.75" wide) - Rosewood fretboard - Hand rubbed Minwax tung oil finish on Mahogany surfaces (3 coats on neck and 4 on body) - SD Jazz neck and Pearly Gates Bridge... wired...

I've just started the first steps in wiring my LP and noticed a hole going from the neck pup to the neck pocket.  Is this meant for a ground wire to go to the neck plate?  This question was asked before but no one gave a definitive answer.

I'll check in to the scotch brite pads.  I actually used synthetic steel wool, which doesn't leave residue.
