    Keeping a Wilkinson in Tune

And we have a winner!!! So while changing strings, I cleaned off the wd-40 the "tech" put on the nut.  When each string was off, I added powdered graphite to the nut and saddle in the string path.  Recall that on this guitar both the nut and saddles are graphite.  I also added powdered graphite...

    Keeping a Wilkinson in Tune

When I first built mine (strat body, tilt back neck, graphite nut, schaller locking, and wiky 100 trem) the B string was binding badly.  You could hear an acoustic "ting" while tuning and trem'ing.  I didn't want to dress my fret ends, so I brought it to a shop that had a "guitar tech".  By my...

Wilkinson Trem too low for whole step raise (pull)

Hi, Guitar assembly virgin, so please be gentle.  I put a Warmoth Pro Angled Strat neck on a Warmoth Strat standard body with the Wilkinson 100 trem.  I did not notice the comment about angled neck pocket when I ordered the body - otherwise I would've asked Warmoth sales.  So no angled neck...

Strat body with pickup top route "Univeral cut"

Y'all, Why WOULDN'T I get a pickup top route "Universal Cut"?  Or put another way, what are the disadvantages to this cut?  I'm looking at a new #1, retiring my old 3-bolt standard strat to #2.  And I'm thinking of a pickup config of H-S-S.  But what if later I want H-S-H, or even H-H.  So...
