"Our Right Hand Reverse Strat® replacement bodies will definitely make you do a double take. It's basically a left handed body with all of the control and pickup routs routed for a right hand configuration. But the pickguard is also a custom creation that retains that Strat® feel and...
Well, if I remember correctly, he actually solved his problem by replacing the bridge with a Schaller bridge (3D-6 I think) and a pickup ring. But no matter the explanation, it seems that its not a general problem.
Thanks again for the comments!
I'm thinking it could be a combination of the looser mounting of the humbucker and the construction of the Tele bridge. The Tele bridge is different from pickup rings and pickguards in that the whole front part of the bridge, where the pickup is located, is not secured to the body, so I guess...
Sure, but the guy is in no way inexperienced and seems to know what he's doing. He's also done a few Warmoth builds, so I guess he could be a member here.
The way I understood it is that microphonic feedback is often caused by something that's loose and vibrating. I think thats why Fender...
Hi,
I'm planning my first build (7/8 T-Style) and had planned on using the Gotoh humbucker tele bridge.
I have however read that the bridge can result in unwanted microphonic feedback. It is suggested that it could be because the pickup is only mounted with two screws instead of 3 on a...
Bare Knuckle Pickups offers a zinc plated steel base as an option on all their strat pickups.
"Zinc plated steel baseplates for Strat coils add more bottom end definition, clarity and power to the coil. They work on the same principle as a Tele bridge baseplate with tapped mounting holes so...
But that won't make them smaller though, which is what I like about them. I'm only 5'5", so I want a 7/8 size guitar for a 7/8 size human. :icon_biggrin:
I've seen several of the new ones and there's definitely a difference. Greg's is a lot more sleek looking. Try comparing the lower horn. I even wrote Warmoth asking for the old 7/8 shape with a link to Greg's guitar, but was told "Sorry but no. We only offer what you see on the site".
Here's...
Yeah, it looks really good. But Greg's black korina is the old 7/8 design. The new design is a bit different, but enough to make it look more chubby without a pickguard. For a more "classic" strat build with pickguard the new shape looks fine though.
The S- and T-style bodies are great, but more options would be great. I would love a 7/8 Soloist body to get the fast look to match the nice 24th fret access. Or you could just bring back the old 7/8 body style for a more modern look without a pickguard.
Other 7/8 body designs would also be...
Yeah, I knew about the 7/8 warhead necks being compatible with Mustang/Jaguar. But I want it to be 24". I was just uncertain if the neck pocket on the japanese Mustangs was the same as the original US ones.
If Warmoth had a PS Mustang body, then that would have been the way for me. I really...
Yup, thats the one. I'm gonna give the original neck a chance first, but I wanted to make sure that I would be able to replace it with a Warmoth if needed be.
Thanks!
It is of course a Mustang 24" replacement neck I am planning on getting. I don't think Warmoth have info on the neck pocket specifications of all guitar models. I therefore went with the forum first for some personal experiences.
Hi,
I'm planning on buying a Pawn Shop Mustang and fitting it with a Warmoth neck. The main reason is that I prefer a flatter radius on my guitars, but I will also opt for SS frets, satin finish and "modern" staggered/locking tuners.
However, I was unsure about the following questions:
