    Wiring a single conductor humbucker...

    The center wire can't touch the back of the pot, or it'll just ground out. Just solder the braid, with the shielding between the braid and the wire intact, to the back of the pot.

    If you mean those thin ones, it'd be fine. It'll be wobbly unless you actually screw them down though.

    I guess, if you want to call it higher output power mode =P That'd be fun to wire in an EMG PA2 to the top poles...so that you get a gain boost when you go to humbucking too. I think then you could call it turbo =P

    It's just a cleaner wiring job to have the pup selector first, because that's where the wires from the pickups go to first.

    No, it will split the coils when you pull up. So up=single coils, down=humbuckers.

    What the fudge has the last person to mess with this done? It looks like they were going for a "cab under a comforter" sort of sound. You probably just want to disconnect everything and then start from scratch with a diagram like this...
