Using Nano-tech to make wood stronger than steel.

Jerry Garcia played 2+ hour sets every night with a 14.5lb guitar. Suck it up :bananaguitar:

Babicz and Warmoth not quite compatible

M2.5x25mm The 25's may or may not be too long depending where you need to have the saddle. 18mm-25mm length seem to be the ballpark.

Babicz and Warmoth not quite compatible

Does anyone by chance know the thread and screw size for the intonation adjustment screws on the Full Contact tele bridge?

    List your Amplifiers

I actually do like to use multiple amp setups, when I can, and I'm not feeling lazy. I want to do a quadraphonic setup, too. I've acquired a few amps since my last post, So I guess I should add those, too. 8. 'Shortblock' singled ended high gain Marshall 9. 70's Fender twin modded into a...

    internal Preamp/Buffer kit

Also kicking this one around. https://www.musikding.de/1-Band-parametric-EQ-pedal-kit I built one of these in a pedal, and I think it could work in a guitar, too. It's certainly compact enough. I'll have to test it a bit more, the noise floor on it seems a tad high, I might be able to make...

    Switchable value pot?

Seems like a lot of work for very little tonal change. I'd just use the higher value pots and then use the tone control to dial in the resonant peak to where you want it. If you want it switchable on the fly, you could then just put the tone control on a switch. Bypass it for the brighter sound...

    internal Preamp/Buffer kit

I've also had my eye on this... https://buildyourownclone.com/collections/boosts-preamps/products/confbooster I like that this one is completely internal and doesn't require to mount a pot and take up real estate

    internal Preamp/Buffer kit

Are there any good DIY kits for an onboard buffer for a guitar? I'm trying to keep it on a budget, so sub $30 would be hugely helpful. The 'boost' function is not so important as the 'buffer' that I'm looking for, as I'm not necessarily looking for more output. Alternatively, is it possible to...

Inserting ferrules into BLO finished body

Thanks. I went through with it. I hit it with 220 grain paper wrapped around a needle nose pliers and then tapped them in with a mallet and screwdriver. luckily, you dont really need to worry about finish cracks with BLO, so long as you dont crack the wood you should be okay.

Boiled Linseed Oil. I thought that was a common abbreviation on these forums

Inserting ferrules into BLO finished body

I'm wondering if there's any tricks to this. The body is finished with BLO. I know that ferrules press right in using a soldering iron w/ poly finish, but what about a finish that's essentially bare wood? Do you just press fit them? Should I consider opening the holes very slightly with sand...

My tech has broken my new roasted maple neck :(

Yikes. I always drill small pilot holes just because it's easier to insert the screw for me. It ensures the it goes right in, and doesn't go crooked. Drilling the pilot holes takes a whole 45 seconds to do properly

Pure Tone Technologies - new "kind" of output jack

I just noticed in the Pure tone's comparison pic, they dont have the 1/4'' on the 'normal' jack plugged in all the way. It looks purposefully not plugged in fully which is why the tip looks misaligned. I bought a pair, and they're good quality, but man, they come off as gimmicky in their marketing.
