Greetings,
A quick view of the current Gecko. Hopefully there will sunshine in my state this weekend. Waiting on one string and a Jack plate. But for the most part it is done.
Thanks swarfrat,
I still have about 3 to 6 weeks before being totally done. I have enjoyed this build more than any other build I have ever done. Once again Thanks
Skuttlefunk ,
Thank you for your input on this subject. I will check into them, I have paid upwards on the dollar scale before for strings. Price doesn't matter to me, sound does. Once again thanks for your input.
Line6man,
You are correct on the criteria aspect, but with that being said Tony Franklin sound is more of what I am looking for. Also I have to mention that I like the sound of an URB. I posted the question as a reference point, what I am thinking may actually be the wrong direction I am...
Swarfrat, Thanks for the advice. Looks like I will be asking another friend who plays fretless what she uses. Been a while since I talked with her.

Greetings,
As a friend and I were discussing the Gecko 6 build. He asked what type of strings I will be using since this is fretless. I haven't the slightest idea I responded. So I am here wondering what type of strings should I use on this fretless bass? Ideas suggestions, recommendations...
Greetings,
Here are some other pics of the neck. Its about 95% completed now.I am really starting to like how this is coming out. Never knew burnishing could be so much fun to do. I sat in the back yard and watched our dogs play while I did this. Made for a fun afternoon.
Thanks.
Greetings,
Got the Gecko 6 neck burnished finally. I started at 320 grit ended with 12000 grit. Really made it super smooth. I have never done this before so it was a really neat challenge for me. I will do this from now on.
Thanks
