    Case for L5S

Ok, I did a search, and this question has already been asked 7 months ago without any answer. I thought I'd post it here since the general discussion forum is way more busy than the off-topic forum. So if you mods think this is the wrong forum, please feel free to move/delete it. However...

    Archtop output jack wiring trouble

lol @the pic ;) mayfly, I did remove the pickup just to find out that the lead was not long enough. should i label each pot so I know which, or is that easy to see from the wiring? Well, I live in Qatar, and even though the apartment is nice, i very much doubt it has an address. not that it...

    Archtop output jack wiring trouble

Hey, There is a bad connection on my gibson es-175, and from what I understand I have to soldier the output jack again. It's working more often than not, but I need to be 100% certain that it works. There's no luthier/tech guy in the area, so I'll have to do it by myself with some help from a...

volume control that doesn't alter the guitar tone?

thanks for your replies. As you said -CB-, the tone will be affected anyway, but when the guy showed me how it worked, there was indeed a big difference.

volume control that doesn't alter the guitar tone?

Hi, a few years ago I talked to a guy who had installed something (I'm not very good with electronics) I think it was a different pot, that didn't roll off the treble if you lowered the volume. Does anyone have any idea what he was talking about?

    Mid boost?

of course, you can use something like the MB-2B Midboost/Fat Control Pedal from www.demeteramps.com But I find it way more practical to have it installed in the guitar. Yes, it needs a 9v battery (lasts for about 1 year, and the guitar output won't be muted if the battery is dead) Of course...

    Mid boost?

I've got a cornell mid boost in my strat with duncan antiquity and vintage pickups. The mid boost is one of the best investment I've ever done. It's not noisy, though I rarely use it over 6.

    L5S carved top

+1 I think it's great that warmoth does the L5s as it never became very common or popular, but I love it. A carved top version would be fantastic.

    Steinberger Gearless Tuners

If they're very good, I could live with the look of them. I don't think they would look bad on the right guitar. I just wanted to get some feedback on them, as I would rather have good working and looking tuners instead of weird looking and bad tuners :) Thanks for your comments!

    Steinberger Gearless Tuners

yeah, I've seen the guitar, I'm actually planning to build a l5s myself  :) It definitely looks different, but I somehow like the look of them. I've never tried any guitars with the tuners installed though, so I'm hoping for some feedback before I decide :)

    Steinberger Gearless Tuners

Hi, I've done some searches on the Gearless tuners without too many results. I understand quite a few of you have installed them. What are your thoughts? Any problems? -Hallvard
