    How big is the 59 neck profile?

    I think the current Warmoth Standard profile is too thin. What's strange is that I have an old guitar I built out of Warmoth parts about 17 years ago and the neck is thicker than a Standard profile neck I bought recently. The old neck is almost as thick as a 59er.

    I've been down that road before and won't go down it again. It's almost impossible to sand down the platform while keeping it even and flat. It works if you don't mind the nut not sitting perfectly flush, seeing gaps, or having the nut sit crooked.
