    G4 (new pics included!)

And another question: This is the bridge I'm using: The bridge was supplied with an extra plate. This plate can be used under the bridge in order to heighten the bridge and strings. In order to determine wether to use this plate or not, I need to know what the MAXIMUM string height OFF the...

    G4 (new pics included!)

Hey everyone, As can be seen in the pics, I made some parts myself. I am also going to make my own nut out of stainless steel (same as my frets). I'm gonna make it adjustable, like the Warwick Just-A-Nut, shown below. The reason why I don't just buy the Warwick nut is because it's...

    Need help positioning tuner holes

Hi there, I'm building a G4 bass with a 13 degrees angled 1-1/2" 4-string neck. I did not have the tuner holes drilled out (14 mm.) as I am going to use Schaller tuners. They measure 13 mm instead. Warmoth could not do this for me, so I had to do it myself. It is pretty difficult locating the...

    DIY coverplate for control rout

Hi, I want to make my own coverplate with a CNC-controlled lasercutting machine. I have the machines and the software, but not the digital data from the coverplate. Does anyone know where to find this? I'd really appreciate that! Thanks!

    Laminate necks for guitars

A Gecko neck costs about the same as the other necks made out of the same woods. A 4-string Gecko?  :headbang:

    Laminate necks for guitars

If so, why doesn't Warmoth produce laminated necks? Warmoth uses two steel stiffening bars, plus a double-expanding truss rod. Don't you think this provides the same amount of sustain and stability? I think both techniques are ok. Having said this, I do wonder why the Gecko necks are laminated...

    NS6105 vs SS6105

OK, thanks for your replies guys. However, my point was to say the information on the website is not correct. Anyone from Warmoth around? Please check my replies earlier. You may want to correct this. Thanks in advance. Oh, by the way. Now that I know this, I decided to go for the SS6100 for my...

No. It is not. Check my reply earlier.

    NS6105 vs SS6105

I think they're too small for a bass. I prefer bigger ones. Also because frets on bass wear faster.
