    Pics of non-waterslide headstock logos

I've had good luck doing something similar. Vinyl or foil decals really work well on unfinished necks of course, too. I don't own a Cricut but some nice person on reddit offered to cut a few of my design and mail them to me, they worked great: I also have bought a foil decal from this site...

Check out this finish that Warmoth used to offer...

"Polyester Swirl" reminds me of the old G&L bowling ball finishes. Sounds like it was made a completely different way though...

    DIY Neck Build (Non-Warmoth)

A few years ago I bought a 1992 Legacy which had some neck issues. (detailed here: http://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=15786) Long story short, I was unable to fix the original neck's warpage issues. I decided to try building my second neck from scratch! All in all, it ended up...

Nice Looking Inlay Colors for Roasted Maple Fretboard?

Ooh yeah the light colored markers do look really nice! I think that's a definitely upgrade over the roasted maple neck I have here with black dots.

Nice Looking Inlay Colors for Roasted Maple Fretboard?

Ooh I hadn't thought of no front inlays as an option.... How do you guys like it when playing the instrument? I "know" that I really only use the side dots when playing, but I don't know if I really believe it. I don't think I've ever actually played an instrument with side dots only, only a...

Nice Looking Inlay Colors for Roasted Maple Fretboard?

I guess I'm not really looking for higher contrast. Black and white are both visible enough for me, I'm just looking for something that maybe "looks nicer". The black dots on the dark roasted maple neck just look a little bland to me, whereas white is too much contrast.

Nice Looking Inlay Colors for Roasted Maple Fretboard?

Hi All! I'm thinking about a new neck with a roasted maple shaft and fretboard, and I'm having a hard time deciding what type/color of inlay dots to use. I have a similar neck already with black side dots and fretboard dots. They look fine, but they're slightly less visible than I'd like due to...

One and a Half Warmoths in this Live Recording

Those Railhammers are a game changer for me. (Kind of reminds me of when I discovered the roasted maple necks.) They just sound so, so good! I'm so glad they were suggested to me on this forum.

One and a Half Warmoths in this Live Recording

This past summer my band got the chance to play at a small music festival called the "Seven Springs Rockfest", and it was great fun. The guy who runs it owns a small production company that typically makes TV commercials. So the "pay" for the gig was these really cool live music videos of us...

    Adjusting Leather Strap Length Question

I don't think I did a good job of explaining earlier, but here's what doesn't work too well. It gets all bunchy and longer for whatever reason. I even tried threading both the "out" and "in" sections of the narrow part through the holes but the same thing happens. AS far as the other end, it's...

    Adjusting Leather Strap Length Question

The brown strap is my preferred length, and the first photo shows the way I usually adjust the length on leather straps in order to keep them from slipping and getting longer while playing. I really like this black strap that I bought, but it's super super long. In the photo it's all the way as...

    Peavey sale

I saw this link a few days ago and registered on a whim. But looking at the terms and conditions again, it seems really sketchy how the shipping works. Working with a shipping company to move a pallet sounds like it could get very expensive, very fast. :( I agree though, for an independent...

Lacquer + Preval Question (Refinishing the Purple SSB)

Well.... While strategizing my next move, the cracks came back with a vengeance. And I just kept seeing more and more every few hours. So, I decided to do what everybody said at the start of this thread, and just strip the body and start over. :-( :-( On one hand, it's really sad and I'll...

Lacquer + Preval Question (Refinishing the Purple SSB)

Ah, that jig is really cool! And you're right, it's way better than having the body touch anything, so I definitely need to put something together like that. Right now I have a long wooden holder that I used to hold the body while spraying. I'll have to see if I can adapt that, or if I should...
