liked doing the velocity so much, I decided to reclaim a horrible... I don't even want to call it a burst tele body into a vintage amber burst. I'm planning on distressing it a bit as well.. This guitar build stuff is a bit like only one tattoo, right.
So far so good with the Floyd. The B had a bit of an issue at first, but running a little graphite in the nut cured it. Stays in tune better than my SX strat knockoff..about the same as the 87 American standard. I have the locking nut, but I'm hoping just to leave it as is.
Finally finished this guitar. I had it posted in a different thread.. It's a velocity body I finished myself with nitro and aniline dye. Gibson conversion tele neck with abalone dots. EVH pickups. Gotoh tuners and floyd rose trem with D-Tuna attached. Fun project.. Learned a ton.

finally getting going... hemmed and hawed so much on it.. decided to go burst front and back with a black side transition.. here is the front. At this point I am going to seal er up.
I was contemplating doing a tan stain for the ash with a clean line to a burst quilt finish vs no stain ash, just clear nitro gloss finish vs black and running that right into the burst. I imagine the black is the easiest because I don't have to worry about bleeding of the dye leaning towards...
