    Bill Lawrence L-45 sound check

Finally got around to making a quick video of the set of L-45s I had installed in my warmoth strat. A guy on thegearpage was interested in the superwide neck, so I talk a little bit about that at the beginning as well. I'm pretty pleased with them. They're quiet, bright, and pretty darned...

    My "Black Cat Strat"

Wow, I want to go swimming in that thing. Very sexy! I would have been afraid to put a single ply black guard on a black body, but that really looks amazing.

"Old" Lake Placid Blue Strat (Half-Warmoth)

great looking strat! tell us more about the pickups - i'm thinking of throwing some of the gfs 70s greybottoms into mine.

The Black & Tan - first W project

Yeah, It would have to be really special for me to buy something off the rack after this - I basically had a completely custom guitar built and setup for about what an American Standard strat would cost. I was chomping at the bit to have this thing finished, so I didn't put as much thought into...

The Black & Tan - first W project

After waiting 5 weeks for the neck and 6 weeks for my tech to put it together, I finally have my guitar. I'll try to find a proper camera and get some better pictures: Body: 1pc alder 3lb 12oz - gunstock oil and wax finish Neck: Superwide goncalo alves / jet black ebony / no face dots / fat...

looks fine to me.  i'm 6 feet tall and keep my guitars up pretty high so even my strat looks a little big on me.  i look like a child when I play my Agile 335(ish) knock-off.  as long as it's comfortable and sounds good, i wouldn't worry about it.

    The One (Complete 4/20/09)

I didn't like teles until I started hanging around this forum and seeing all the awesome designs the people here come up with. This one is nothing short of perfect and has me lusting after a thinline really badly. can't wait to see the finished product!

    Warmoth Strat

wow, we're definitely going to see many more pictures of that one.  how do you like the sound of the wenge/ebony and alder combo?  i'm about to build a strat with the same woods.

    Newbie needs raw neck advice

Thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciate it. I have a feeling the only solution is just to build more strats and try them all :) This is like guitar crack - I’m already spec’ing out a thinline Canary seems like a safe bet, but wenge is awfully alluring - as long as there’s no...

    Newbie needs raw neck advice

Thanks! The body is routed SSS and that's what I'll go with initially (may rout the bridge for a HB at some point).  I like what I've heard about Pete Biltoft's pickups at VintageVibeGuitar.com and am interested in trying a set of either his strat-sized P90s or strat blades.

    Newbie needs raw neck advice

So after spending several hours a day for months pouring over the warmoth site, I finally took the plunge and snagged a warmoth 1pc alder strat hardtail body on ebay.  Now, I need to decide on a neck.  I have this irrational fear that choosing the "wrong" wood will make my guitar sound like...
