It is a bolt on neck. Guitar is a 60's Silvertone.

The bridge is as low as it will go.

Well I laid a straightedge on it, and neck is straight. Trussrod works and is cranked to the max right, so I guess it will need top be shimmed. Now hiow would I shim it? Just a flat shim under the neck, or the thick end of the tapered shim  towards the body or the nut? Thanks.

I picked this old bass up cheap. The action is super high, at .51" at neck. It does taper down to normal at the nut. How could I shim this?

I have a bridge plate that takes vintage 11.3 MM saddles, which I do not have. Can I use 11.0 MM saddles ( which I have) without an unresolvable issue? Just a quick question, thanks ( I did google, but found nothing).

So if all the frets are level and fine but if the last fret towards the body  is low, that fret must be replaced, correct?

Hi, is there any tips or tricks to fix a gap ( on the side)  between the neck route pocket and the neck. I picked up a 71 Strat ( custom color black/4 bolt) that is original, but the neck pocket had been side routed wider on the side for a different neck at one point in time, now I have the neck...

Lets say for the sake of argument that it is actually a Warmoth, and that someone finished that red sparkle ( and I like me some red sparkle) finish over the stamp in the neck pocket. Would one be able to remove the finish without also erasing the  stamp?  Likewise the black paint on the neck...

haha, its out favorite joke around here to build a guitar if  you have, for instance, an extra set of strap buttons or the like, but I say, in all seriousness, what I would consider impetus to move forward with a build is a spare neck, or body, but actually, I have many builds based around...

Just this, consider newer neck as well, looking to assemble a relic late 60's Strat tribute, so truss rod at heel, vintage type dots, and  something less than a 1.75 nut width. Lesser size than boat neck . WTB Old Warmoth Maple /Rosewood neck
