Picked it up from my luthier over the weekend, plays really well. Frets needed a lot of work to make it playable (neck is from Dillion).

Rule of thumb, short shafts for pickguards only. Otherwise long shafts.

If this is really the rule of thumb then I thank you for it. I will use this for myself and inform others as well if this is the rule of thumb. Thats an easy way to remember that.
