Zero Motorcycles. I Want One!

OK, so it's been 10 years since I was hit by a car while riding my SV Suzuki.  I escaped with minor injuries (I walked into emerge), but the bike was a write-off and my wife said "no bikes while we raise these kids".  so that was that.

Until now!  I've been off-and-on looking at electric bikes for awhile and have been aware of Zero for about 6 years.  But I didn't check on what they had until just this week.  Turns out they've got a lot!  Check it out:

Now folks are probably wondering why a guy who had all the regular go-fast bits applied to his hot V-twin (pipes, jet kit, progressive suspension, SS brake lines, you know - the usual) would be interested in what appear to be toys.

The answer is Torque.  Lots of it.  At all RPMs.  I'm loving it.  I really want one of these.

Electric motors sure are high torque. That sounds like a fun one. Hope you get one.

They look pretty awesome. Pretty decently priced as well.

What I'm really enjoying is the rise in EV's. I'm currently in a Motorsport team at University and we're making an electric FSAE car right in the uni. Makes me happy I'm looking at focusing on Software and Electrical engineering.

I might show my brother these bikes though...
