Has anyone here ever had a zebrawood top dyed or sprayed with a transparent color?  I was wondering how that would turn out.  There are a couple of LP's with Zebrawood tops that I am considering.  Blue would be my color of choice, my son's birthstone is saphire and i've already ordered a green strat as my daughters (emerald).  was wondering if the grain would show much through the transparent finiish, and if the dyed would look any different.

blue is but and buttugly. it will turn purple on zebrano. I suggest maple for blue. for zebrano: brown, yellow, red, orange... colors like this. but not blue, green or purple.
