Here is my finally finished Zebra Tele project.

Lollar P90s that sound incredible. Still figuring out what to put in the middle but for now it’s an old Strat single (don’t know manufacture or output, but it certainly quacks in that middle position.) Wired like a strat with a 5 way selector and a blender knob.

I finished it with Teak Oil because that’s what I had and I’ve used it extensively. May or may not be the recommended choice but it looks pretty good to me. It darkened it a bit but I was expecting that.

Only things I don’t like are the middle pickup, the middle pickup chrome ring and the 42mm nut width - a little too narrow. I’d go wide next time.

Otherwise it’s as quality as it gets and plays better than anything in a store for the cost.

Beautiful piece of wood ! That will look really good once you decide on the middle pickup without the chrome. The teak oil looks good on it, but probably not much protection. If you decide to change it later that would be a great piece for Rubio Monocoat.

Great Job !

Thanks for the reply. You agree that the middle pickup looks kind of off?

I kinda dig the Strat/P-90 sandwich, and bet it sounds cool! I'd be tempted to cut a 'pickguard' out of some cream material in the same footprint as a P-90 to use as the strat surround. I've always loved the look of the American Standard bridges, but the offset/asymmetrical intonation screws give me an eye twitch.
