If I was a betting man I'd say your reaction is going to be

"What?!? No way! That's cool! I gotta try it!"

What?!? No way! That's cool! I gotta try it!  :laughing7:

I typically do the back and forth pour thing, letting the white drain off and keeping the yolk in the shell.

This is  good excuse to make a coconut cream pie. You need the yolks to make the filling, and the whites to make the topping.

I typically do the method Cagey mentioned.  I will definitely try that next time.

You know how to tell a hardboiled egg from a raw egg with out breaking the shell?

Spin it on a counter top.  The hardboiled egg spins like a top.  The uncooked one just wobbles.

Speaking of hard-boiled eggs, the other day I saw a video of how to peel them easily. I haven't tried it yet, but will the next time I make potato salad.

I saw that how to peel an egg video the other day too.  Pretty cool!  I'm gonna try it on holidays where we make a lot of deviled eggs, cause that part is a huge PITA if the eggs are really fresh.  My mom and I do rock paper scissors to decide who has to peel them, but if it is really as simple as that, then maybe we won't have to in the future.

I don't make deviled eggs for that very reason. Too much work. I'll peel 'em to make potato salad or egg salad, but in those cases if you end up tearing up the egg you really don't care. You're going to chop 'em up anyway.

Yeah, there's a reason we only make them during the holidays.  But if peeling them is easier, maybe we'll make them more often.  Ranch eggs are really good too.
