Today, I went to the store to buy a new set of strings.

I came out with a new set of studio monitors.
Yorkville YSM5

These things sound unbelievable, for $190 CDN each.
I A/B tested them against presonus, krk and yamaha, and they sound the best by far! I wasn't planning on getting these just yet, but when I heard them, I had to get them.
They will be my monitors (for at home) for my Helix, until I can buy the L3M's to use as my main guitar rig.
And even when I get the L3M's, I'll still be using these for my home studio, so it's a win-win!

Very happy customer!  :hello2:
Thevlow end on these things is super tight.

That's good top know. I'll be sure to check them out, since I'm also thinking of getting some monitors.

Yeah, to my ears, they seemed to have less hyped frequencies, and there's an HF adjustment from-2, -1, 0, or +1 db, which I find helpful for evening it out if your room had different characteristics, or if someone mixed what you're listening to too harsh on the highs.
There is also a 6 and 8 inch version, which have LF adjustments also.

I had a look around at the usual retailers here in Sweden, but I can't find any that sell Yorkville.
They might not have a distributor here in Sweden anymore, but I know that their products used to have been available here several years back.
I'll continue my search ...

Why is everything that you buy or mention, something that I want to, Timmsie? Oh the struggles of being in school still and having no active job...

Yeah I'm not sure about international distributors. I live right near where they're made, so even if there were no distributors around me, i could just pop in and buy them direct :laughing7:

Haha, I know the feeling. I used to save for months at a time to buy things, like when I bought my LP Standard (back when they were almost half the price of what they are now..) I probably saved for ten months, and still had to finance a bit..
